Dear Valued Customer,
After receiving the news at the weekend that we are entering into another lockdown from Thursday we wanted to write to our customers and reassure you that we are here for you.
For our care and education customers its very much business as normal. For our Hospitality customers that are staying open and offering takeaway we have you covered. Our 10.30pm cut off will stay in place for you when you get those busy evenings and need to top up and we will be delivering Monday to Saturday as normal. We also have a large range of takeaway packaging available. Our answerphone is also available from 8am to 6pm on Sundays for a Monday delivery. You can still place your order via our online ordering platform up to 10.30pm Sunday to Friday for next day delivery, although it would be great if you could get your orders in during the day.
We are operating with our usual delivery service. Delivery times may be a little different than you are used to as we are making significantly less deliveries meaning our drivers are getting round much quicker and the delivery rounds have been amended slightly to reflect this. In the last lockdown many of our customer who may have had early deliveries did not want a delivery till later in the day. Please make sure you let us know if this is the case.
We estimate that our turnover will reduce by around 50% over November so we have had to utilise the Governments Furlough Scheme for many of our team. Your Business Development Manager is still available Monday to Friday, but they will be on restricted working hours meaning they may not be immediately available. Please leave them a message or drop them an e mail and they will reply when they are within working hours. Alternatively, the Telesales Office will be manned as usual but with a reduced number of people from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1.30pm on Saturday.
Product availability on ambient, non-food and frozen goods should be reasonably ok as we are already carrying good stocks. Chilled and fresh products we are not certain on the impact to the supply chain yet but may see some product issues, but we will do our best to communicate with you as and when we know.
We also wanted to let you know that although we will be advertising our Home Delivery Service quite heavily during lockdown to generate some much needed income, we will be prioritising our Food Service Customers.
If your team members are struggling to get a food delivery from the supermarkets for personal use please remind them we are here and have lots of stock and lots of delivery slots. They just need to go to https://www.harvesttohome.co.uk/customer-account-sign and register for Home Delivery.
We would also like to make you aware of the fantastic work undertaken by the Burnt Chef Project around mental wellbeing in our industry, please follow the link below to find out more information https://www.theburntchefproject.com/
Yours sincerely
