Development Days in our Development Kitchen!

On Wednesday 8th December Harvest hosted a development day for chefs and kitchen assistants from Hampshire County Council. They spent the day with Harvest suppliers, such as Lakeland Dairies, to learn about new products and techniques. This is a great opportunity for the chefs to understand to products available to them to use in the kitchen for specials diets. Topics such as fortification and hydration were covered for those working in care homes, a vital part of a chefs job, is to create meals that are appealing and healthy, but that are suitable for certain medical needs.
